What should you do before beginning your research?
Come up with a thesis statement
Understand the assignment
Outline your paper
All of the above
In general, when students do research for a research paper their goal is to:
Find an obvious answer
Prove their professors wrong
Develop a theory that no one has thought of before
Answer their research questions
None of the above
When you arrive at the end of your paper, you should write a conclusion that:
Restates your introduction so that readers don't forget it
Restates your thesis statement and nothing else
Explains the significance of your topic and research
Obscures your meaning so that the reader's mind is not made up
A thesis statement is an answer to a research question.
